Here’s another MMA inspired shirt that actually looks good and is NOT cluttered up with skulls, dragons and any other wanna-be tough guy images. Tokyo Five has always done things right when it comes to fashionable MMA inspired attire. The shirt you see above is something you could even wear out to the club, and most likely, get a lot of attention if you rock it right. The shirt is made of 100% cotton and is available in 5 sizes.

So BJ took a beating (yet again) at UFC 118 but that doesn’t chance the fact that this shirt is sick. I think I’m actually going to buy one myself. It’s made by Triumph United and as you can see, it’s sort of a tribute to the island of Hawaii. Entitled the “aloha division”, it has a fist on the front and script and the triumph united logo on the back. Made of 100% cotton and available in 4 sizes.

The “Combat Sports” line has developed an awesome pair of boxing gloves that have incredible wrist support but with myself being a Muay Thai practitioner, I’ve come to prefer the “Thai style” gloves a bit more. Combat Sports has now released their own Muay Thai gloves that will give consumers yet another buying option. The gloves are available in either of 2 designs. There’s a blue/black/grey pair – which I’m personally not a big fan of – and a straight black/grey pair that in my opinion, looks a little better.

They’re made of “high quality” leather and they’re available in the standard Thai style glove sizing (12oz, 14oz, 16oz, 18oz). As for how these compare to the gloves that are actually made in Thailand, we’re not sure yet as we’re still waiting on our shipment for review. This is the shirt that Tim Kennedy was wearing as he walked out to the cage to face “Jacare” Souza last weekend at the Strikeforce Nashville event. Kennedy ended up losing an extremely close decision. The announcers were all in agreement that they wouldn’t want to be the ones that had to decide the outcome of that fight since it was so close. Kennedy proved to the world that he’s the real deal in that fight and there’s no doubt that he’ll make his way back up to the top, it’s just a matter of time.

As for the shirt, well, it’s made by “Ranger Up”, who sponsors Tim Kennedy due to his military background. Ranger Up, if you didn’t already know, doesn’t sponsor any fighters that haven’t served in the United States military. The Ranger Up line actually makes some of the best looking shirts in the industry and the one you see in the images above is a perfect example of that. It has the American flag, the Ranger Up logo and an eagle at the front and at the back, it says “freedom isn’t free”. Available in 5 sizes.

Here is the new Joseph Benavidez tribute sweatshirt designed by FORM Athletics – which is Urijah Fabers clothing line. It seems fitting that Urijah have a tribute sweatshirt made for him since they train together at “team alpha male”. Benavidez lost a close split decision to Dominick Cruz last week at WEC 50 but he’ll certainly be back to reclaim his spot in the division. I would imagine that since he’s friend/training partner owns the company that is producing the Benavidez tribute apparel, that he would be getting a nice cut of the profits so here’s a good way you can support him.

The sweater is made of fleece and has both a zipper and a “kangaroo” style pocket at the front. It’s an “athletic fit”, which means that it’s cut a little bit slimmer throughout the sleeves and the body so if you prefer your clothes to be loose fitting, you might want to order a size up.

Here is the actual shirt that BJ Penn will be rockin’ as he heads towards the octagon for his rematch with Frankie Edgar on Saturday night. It’s made by RVCA and the nice thing about that is that RVCA doesn’t clutter their shirts with a bunch of wannabe tough guy skulls, dragons, swords and a bunch of other lame images. Their shirts are simple, yet stylish – and this one is no exception. The center of the shirt says “Hana Hou”, which translated, means “one more time” or “encore”, which is fitting seeing as how BJ is getting an immediate rematch with Edgar. Anyway, the shirt available in 2 colours (black or white) and in 5 different sizes.

Here is the latest shirt by Ecko Unlimited. It’s pretty “busy”, but then again, it doesn’t look bad either. The colour is a bit unusual but that’s not necessarly a bad thing if you’re looking to get noticed in the clubs. The only thing that I’m not feelin’ about the shirt is the skulls (so typical on MMA shirts), but they blend in quite well so they’re not overly noticable. The shirt comes in 4 different sizes and fits true to size.

As I’ve mentioned time and time again, I’m not a big fan of the companies that just throw a bunch of lame skulls, dragons, swords and other wannabe tough guy images onto them. It’s just lame. RVCA however, doesn’t do that. They make simplistic, yet stylish apparel and the shirt you see above is actually why I like the company so much. They recently released 4 different style shirts all of which are tributes to BJ Penn (just in time for UFC 118). The shirt says “Hana Hou”, which translated means “do it again” or “encore”. The translation seems fitting considering that he’s about to have an immediate rematch with Frankie Edgar. The shirt is made of 100% “combed” cotton and is available in 5 different sizes.

Here are the new, curved Thai style pads by RevGear. These have just been released so our official review will be coming shortly. However, if you end up getting them before us, then feel free to leave a review of your own below to let people know what you think of them. Judging by the picture however, they look fairly thick and they have extra padding at the back for the holder. One thing you’ll notice though (by looking at the tag), is that they’re made in India.

 Obviously, the country that has the most experience making durable, quality Muay Thai pads is THAILAND, which is why I was impressed that Venum outsourced the development of their Muay Thai line to Thailand. So, the fact that these are made in India raises some question marks, but we can’t judge until we test them out ourselves.

As for the details, well, the size specifications aren’t mentioned on the site. All it says is that they’re “pre-curved”, that they’re made of “high quality leather” and that they have “riveted handles with heavy duty hook and loop forearm straps”. Anyway, like I said, our official review will be coming soon but if you beat us to it, feel free to rock a review below..

Here’s another shirt by Xtreme Couture. Typically, I’m not a big fan of the cluttered, flashy images used on all the MMA shirts but this one is an exception. It actually looks pretty good. At least there’s no lame skulls. As you can see, it’s a tribute to Randy Couture. Yes, it’s a tribute to himself by his own clothing company, how original, right? Regardless, the shirt design works and although it’s not the typical style of clothing that I’d usually wear, I would probably wear this to the club or something. It’s an “athletic fit”, which means that it’s cut a little slimmer throughout the sleeves and the body and it’s available in both red and blue.
